Why is MSN App Required to Read News Articles on msn.com?
Jun 4, 2024 · It is now more of a rare bug that it lets you read a single article they are forcing use of ms start app which runs on edge, they farm your data and you cant block ads because you cannot install extensions. Oddly if this was about ads, disabling my adblocker never allows me to read the articles on mobile.

If you don't want to see it, on the new tab page, click on the gear icon in its top corner to open the Page settings menu. I have tried hiding it, but it comes back. I see there is a block area under customize but it wont let me add Fox News to the blocked. It is now either BLOCK FOX (News) or quit using MSN and BING.
