Mar 27, 2017 · My therapist explained unlike EDMR, it has sort of debriefing portion each tx where you are suppose to almost narrate a pleasant version. It doesn't erase memory in anyway, but is meant to take away the negative emotions. Generally, she told me it is quicker treatment than EMDR, that most need only 5 sessions.

Jul 13, 2017 · Saying that, no studies show any improvement by adding hypnosis to trauma therapy. Unlike MDMA studies by MAPS, which are adding a very clear 20% success to the average trauma process, taking most methods from 60% to 80% effective. That one is a game changer. Hypnosis is not proven to improve anything as a relaxation technique in therapy.

After years of therapy (where i was an active participant) that were helpful but with many lingering issues and trauma related symptoms I thought maybe it would just be another feather in my cap to add on top of EMDR, CBT, DBT and lots of other fun stuff. It was unexpectedly POWERFUL. I was blown away.
