Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has vowed to initiate a "cleansing process" across all temples in the state following allegations of animal fat being used in Tirupati laddus. This move aims to respect religious sentiments and restore the sanctity of temples.

A great battle has erupted over the laddu prasadam of Tirupati Balaji temple. On one hand, the saint community is very angry after such serious allegations. On the other hand, the devotees who have faith in Balaji are deeply hurt.

In his eight-page letter, Jagan called Naidu a "habitual liar" and accused him of undermining the beliefs of millions for political gain.

This comes after Naidu and the TDP alleged that during the previous YSRCP government, ingredients such as beef tallow, lard, and fish oil were used in the preparation of Tirumala laddus.

Amid controversy over Tirupati Laddu Prasadam, advocate K. Karuna Sagar expressed shock at lab reports confirming the use of low-quality ghee containing beef, pork, and fish oil, claiming it attacks Hindu sentiments.

Former Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy wrote an eight-page letter to PM Modi seeking his intervention in Tirupati Laddu adulteration issue.

In his letter, former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy clarified that the procurement of ghee for the Tirupati laddoo prasadam has been conducted through an e-tendering process, which takes place every six months.

Chandrababu Naidu vowed to take appropriate action in the Tirupati laddus controversy after consultations with religious leaders from the Hindu community.

In the letter, the Jagan Mohan Reddy said that Naidu's "reckless" and "politically motivated" statements hurt the sentiments of devotees and "tarnished the sanctity" of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) board.
