Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams, the Boeing Starliner astronauts whose eight-day mission aboard the International Space Station will now stretch to at least seven months, will cast their ballots from space.

A program launched by NASA in the 1990s allows astronauts to vote, even while orbiting 250 miles above their home planet

Among those casting their votes will be astronauts Barry "Butch" Wilmore and Sunita "Suni" Williams, who arrived at the ISS in June aboard Boeing's Starliner spacecraft. They were originally scheduled to return to Earth after seven days.
