LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Employees have been laid off at two Las Vegas Strip properties. The Venetian and Palazzo are parting ways with “less than 50 employees” according to a statement released by the resorts. The two properties employ more than 8,500 employees.

Las Vegas locals who've long heard talk about a potential basketball arena on the Resort Corridor are getting their first look at one vision for making the project a reality.

All Net Arena renderings by Steelman Partners were submitted to the Clark County Planning Commission. The arena will be built on a 27-acre site at 2601 S. Las Vegas Blvd., between the Fontainebleau and the Sahara Las Vegas. The project first broke ground in 2013.
