Deshaun Watson will be trying to make a comeback from the torn Achilles that he suffered. However, the Browns will not necessarily be welcoming him back to the team. Unfortunately, they are locked into two more years with Watson due to his contract and there is a lot of money that will be paid out over the next two years.

Cleveland is likely to pick near the top of next year's NFL draft, where selecting a QB could land them a player capable of starting in Year 1 and doing so on a reasonably-priced rookie contract to help negate the albatross of Watson's deal.

In The Athletic's NFL midseason predictions article published on Thursday, Browns beat writer Zac Jackson forecasted a major shake up coming to the franchise's front office this offseason, give the overall Watson outlook. Specifically, that the team will "move on" from either one or both of Berry or chief strategy officer Paul DePodesta.

The Cleveland Browns traded with the Houston Texans for Deshaun Watson in 2020 to solve their quarterback problems. Throughout the years, the franchise had spent a lot of time, effort, scouting, and money on getting a dependable signal caller to lead the team and failed numerous times.
