The collapse of a section of the under-construction bridge connecting Bakhtiyarpur in Patna district to Tajpur in Samastipur district has sparked a political row in Bihar.

A portion of an under-construction bridge collapsed in Bihar's Patna district, an official said on Monday. No one was injured in the incident that occurred on Sunday night, he said. The incident comes in the backdrop of more than a dozen bridges and causeways collapsed in several Bihar districts in the recent past.

The collapse took place in the afternoon, disrupting ongoing work and raising alarm among locals and workers at the site. Fortunately, there were no immediate reports of injuries.
