Former President Donald Trump made no mention of North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson during his appearance at a rally in Wilmington on Saturday, but the controversy surrounding CNN’s Thursday bombshell report on Robinson continued to dominate political discussions across the state.

While the Republican nominee for NC governor is not expected in Wilmington Saturday, his campaign said he will be at a meet and greet in Fayetteville.

Amid talk of hot button issues, former President Donald Trump took time during Saturday's rally in Wilmington to introduce the crowd to two of his grandchildren -- Carolina and Luke. They are the children of Eric and Lara Trump.
