The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said it has identified a man shot and killed at Rock Creek Cemetery on Saturday afternoon. Police said that on Nov. 9 at about 4:50 p.m., they responded to Rock Creek Cemetery at the 5000 block of First Street for the report of a shooting.

According to police, officers were called to the Rock Creek Cemetery for a reported shooting. When police got to the scene, they found the man dead immediately behind an apartment building in the 5000 block of First Street Northwest, in the area of the cemetery.

D.C. police said officers located a man in serious condition inside Rock Creek Cemetery, along 1st Street NW. He died at the scene.
