A 33-year-old mother and her 4-and-6-year-old children were badly injured during a domestic assault in Bridgeport on Wednesday morning and the 6-year-old remains in critical condition, according to police.

A woman and her two children had life-threatening injuries from blunt force trauma connected to a "domestic violence incident" Wednesday morning, police said.

A call about a domestic violence incident in Bridgeport led to a child being transported to a hospital in critical condition.
